Delta Current is always on the lookout for sharp, creative, politically minded people who want to move power forward in the South. Whether you’re a student just starting out, a freelance creative looking for purpose-driven work, or someone ready to plug into the work of progressive politics, we want to hear from you.

Internship Opportunities

(PAID)

We offer seasonal, paid internships focused on campaigns, content, and communications. Interns will support real projects and get hands-on experience in the world of political strategy, digital storytelling, and advocacy.


Opportunities include:

  • Legislative Session Internships – Help track legislation, create rapid response content, and lift up grassroots fights. (In person Baton Rouge availability is required for internships)
  • Campaign Internships – Support progressive candidates with content, research, and organizing tools. (Opportunities across the state)
  • Social Media Internships (Rolling) – Assist with content creation, trend tracking, and social strategy across platforms.

You might help us:

  • Edit short-form video content
  • Research policy and digital trends
  • Assist with content production and scheduling
  • Collaborate with team members on storytelling strategy


Must-haves:

  • Enrolled in or recently graduated from a college/university
  • Interest in politics, organizing, and social justice
  • Comfort with platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Canva, CapCut, etc.
  • Strong writing and communication skills

Freelancer & Creator Pool

We’re building a network of creatives and doers we can call on for quick-turn, paid projects. If you’ve got skills and heart, we want you in the mix.

  • Graphic Designers & Canva Creators
  • Writers, content strategists, and brand storytellers
  • Social media producers and meme-makers
  • Website builders and troubleshooters
  • People with iPhones and good instincts who want to film reels or show up at events with purpose
